Recently, the first meeting of the Shenzhen Hong Kong Environmental Protection Cooperation Task Force for 2025 was held in Hong Kong. The meeting summarized the achievements of Shenzhen Hong Kong environmental protection cooperation in 2024, reviewed and approved the annual work report, and deployed ten key collaborative tasks to promote measures. As an important support platform for the cooperation mechanism, the Shenzhen Hong Kong Ecological Environment Green Development Alliance was invited to attend and report on the achievements of policy integration and promotion.
2024 In the year, relying on the mechanism of environmental protection cooperation, Shenzhen and Hong Kong have achieved significant results in multiple fields: the water quality of Shenzhen River has reached the Class III standard for surface water environmental quality, setting a record for the best monitoring in history; Promote the reduction of sulfur content standards for Hong Kong's marine light diesel to 10ppm and establish a mechanism for exchanging illegal information on ship air emissions; Jointly signed cooperation framework agreements on Shenzhen Bay Wetland Conservation and wutong Mountain Honghualing Ecological Corridor Construction. The meeting clarified that in 2025, the focus will be on promoting ten major tasks, including collaborative solid waste treatment, marine ecological protection, and resource recycling, and further improving the five mechanisms of overall coordination, information sharing, and joint disposal.
The alliance stated that it will actively respond to the deployment of the special team, take the lead in conducting comparative research on ecological environment supervision standards between Shenzhen and Hong Kong, organize policy interpretation into enterprise activities, promote the implementation of policies such as the Clean Production Partnership Program and the Joint Response Mechanism for Cross border Environmental Emergencies, and provide strong support for the transformation of Shenzhen Hong Kong environmental protection cooperation from "project collaboration" to "systematic collaboration".
