The first council meeting of the Shenzhen Hong Kong Ecological Environment Green Development Alliance clarifies the three core work directions

Recently, the first council meeting of the Shenzhen Hong Kong Ecological Environment Green Development Alliance was held in Shenzhen. Representatives of all council units of the alliance attended and reviewed the alliance's charter, work rules, and annual work plan, clarifying the three core work directions of building a collaborative governance mechanism, building an innovative achievement sharing platform, and strengthening public education and international exchanges.
The conference elected the first chairman, vice chairman, and secretary-general unit of the alliance, and Shenzhen Environmental Science Research Institute and Hong Kong Productivity Council were elected as joint chairman units. At the meeting, the governing units jointly signed the "Shenzhen Hong Kong Ecological and Environmental Protection Collaborative Development Commitment Letter", promising to actively participate in various work of the alliance, promote resource sharing, technology collaboration, and project co construction. Six special working groups have been established to clarify responsibilities and deadlines for key tasks such as wetland conservation and carbon footprint standard alignment in Shenzhen Bay.
The Secretary General of the Alliance stated that the convening of the first council marks the standardization stage of the Alliance's operation. Next, the alliance will establish a normalized communication and coordination mechanism, hold monthly work promotion meetings, hold quarterly technical exchange activities, promote the implementation and effectiveness of various tasks, and help create a new benchmark for the coordinated development of ecological and environmental protection between Shenzhen and Hong Kong.
